Schae + Connor

When Schae and Connor reached out to me to photograph their intimate wedding at Chapel of the Holy Dove in Flagstaff, Arizona, I had not yet heard of the venue and quickly fell in love with everything about it. The Chapel of the Holy Dove was built by Dr. Watson M. Lacy in 1960 and is open to anyone. Four of his own children were married here also and when you walk into the building, you truly feel how special of a place it is.

There is no formal way to “reserve” this venue as they operate on a first come, first serve basis, so Schae and Connor left a little note on the door that they would be married later that day.

The walls of the inside of the building are adorned with love notes and “reservations" from those who have been married here before as you can see in the photos below.

Surrounding the building is beautifiul forest land, mountains, and a field across the street where the sun was setting. It was so beautiful!
